About Hugo's Breakfast

Having been popular for the past ten years at Hugo's award winning bed and breakfast-hotel, Woodlands Country House,  he started to put together parcels of mueslis and granolas for guests to enjoy at home. Made originally in the hotel kitchen, these proved such a success that Hugo's Breakfast was born to supply quality cereals to consumers throughout the country, including Fortnum & Mason, London!

Along the way, Hugo's Breakfast is proud to have been awarded Taste of the West Gold Awards for Hugo's Granola, Hugo's Muesli and Hugo's Birchermüesli and a Taste of the West Silver Award Hugo's Fruit & Nut Granola.

Hugo’s Cornish Granola is a kind of muesli, slowly baked with Cornish honey, Canadian Grade 'A' maple syrup and golden syrup to a golden crunchiness and mixed with dried fruits; cranberries, currants and sultanas, and finished with a little orange zest. Hugo’s Granola is very popular and has won many awards. It is used for breakfast in hotels and restaurants.

Hugo's Cornish Muesli proved very popular at breakfast with Woodlands Country House guests. It is full of delicious dried fruit including, dried apricots, prunes, sultanas, currants and cranberries (over 25% - so no skimping), nuts and seeds, oats and crispy malted wheat flakes.

Hugo's Cornish Birchermüesli, a take on the original muesli; with nuts roasted in Cornish apple juice and concentrated apple and pear. A creamy, nutty muesli, with apple flakes and a hint of vanilla. For a really creamy muesli, soak for as long as possible - over-night would be good - in milk (cow's, goat's or soya) or apple juice. Just before eating, chop some fresh apples and/or pears, add some honey for sweetness.

Hugo's Cornish Granola - Quinoa & Fruit, made with Gluten free ingredients, British quinoa and millet flakes slowly roasted with seeds, coconut and nuts in apple and pear juice with a hint of vanilla and mixed with dried fruit this granola is particularly good for the Gluten intolerant (It is made in a kitchen which handles gluten containing cereals, so we present this product as 'low in gluten'

Hugo's Apple & Blueberry Porridge, a tasty porridge, equally delicious made with milk or water - or both, overnight in the Aga, on the hob or in the microwave - the perfect 'super-food' start to anyone's morning. The blueberries and apple flakes plump up with cooking or soaking. Serve with clotted cream and honey for extra luxuriousness!
